Responding to COVID-19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, all members of the Peacock Group have been undertaking work relating to COVID-19 diagnostics and SARS-CoV-2 genomics.

Their contribution includes volunteering in the hospital microbiology laboratory to support the diagnosis of COVID-19; supporting a study of environmental contamination in the hospital with SARS-CoV-2; and undertaking a study of the feasibility of re-sterilisation of FFP3 masks.

The group have provided extensive support to the COVID-19 Genomics UK (COG-UK) Consortium, including all aspects of operational management, logistics, administration and communication.
